How are you?

Friends, family and well-wishers all message to ask, “How are you?” “How is dad?” “How is the family?” .. I know they mean well but I don’t have an answer or the one I have is what you don’t want to hear. We are not ok! My dad is not improving and none of us know what to say in this state of limbo .. it breaks our heart to repeat “He is not ok!” how do I say this politely? How do I tell you to stop asking me this question, even if it is well meaning because there is nothing you or I can do with the facts I share. Pray if you can, pray if you must with or without that information.

I want to send positive vibes and thoughts to the universe, I want to send strength to him and that is not when I repeat he is not ok.

I don’t want to answer your calls and repeat this once again, I don’t want to say he is not improving. I don’t want to hear your “he will be fine! keep the courage and be strong” .. all I want is for you to genuinely pray and be patient and we will send an update when we can.

I know you love us, you mean well and hence I can take the liberty to say this. Pls don’t get me wrong.
